Great Acts Are Made Up of Small Deeds

The majority of my day was spent cleaning and organizing my office. Right now, it’s in a state of disaster as I attempt to organize the clutter that’s currently my office. I actually managed to make a bit of dent, and the next few days will be spent clearing out the clutter that has amassed while cleaning. Sometimes you’ve got to make something messier to clean it, and that’s definitely where we are.

Shout out to Kim for coming to help today. It was nice to have the company that continued to motivate me. I don’t know how much I’d have ended up accomplishing without the company. Sometimes cleaning is also easier when you have someone helping or cleaning their own stuff alongside you.

I am off to bed as I have a lot of stuff I need to accomplish at work today. The additional time off, while desperately needed, always ends up costing me with the additional work that I have when I return. Tomorrow, will be spent working on reports and then creating a PowerPoint for training I have planned in the middle of the week, centered on root cause analysis. That topic seems to be a struggle … Read More

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of These

The weekend, unfortunately for Kim, consisted of me sleeping, A LOT. I woke up on Friday about 11:30 AM, with a stuffy nose and body aches. As a result, I slept the entire day. I felt like I had a fever, but we did not have a thermometer to verify. I woke up around 7:30 PM when Robby called so the kids could say goodnight.

Finally, around 3:30 PM, I sent her a text message stating I did not mean to sleep the day away as I had. We then decided that it would be best to head home tonight rather than stay another night and be stuck driving 2 hours house. The consensus between … Read More

Road Tripping

I am currently on the road en route to Kim’s grandma’s cabin. In celebration of her birthday, we are spending the weekend up there. We had planned on leaving in the morning, but I figured why not head up tonight? I have scheduled PTO on Friday, so there’s really no reason for us to leave tonight instead of heading up in the morning.

Of course, I intended to blogging before we left, and I even thought about it doing it after Kim headed home to pack and get her dogs. She had given me an ETA of 9:30 PM but sent me a text an hour before asking if I had finished packing. I was nearly finished, but I knew I wouldn’t have the time to blog like I wanted to. I nearly forgot and remembered when I looked at the clock in Cliff, so now I am blogging via my phone.

I expect this weekend to be a relatively chill weekend with perhaps some exploring so we can both get our camera’s out. I hope the time away will allow me to recharge as I desperately need that. I’ve been operating on fumes for far too long, and it … Read More
